Family as the cradle of faith
Our family is the cradle where faith is received and transmitted. While many know this important role of families, we are often unsure how to live or grow our faith or may feel inadequate about transmitting our faith to our children. We may do so by:
• Turning to God for support guidance and strength.
• Resolving conflicts with prayer, repentance, and forgiveness.
• Serving others in the family and parish community.
• Overcoming challenges and trials through shared faith.
• Sacrificing time, money, comfort and convenience for religious reason.
• Nurturing spiritual growth through example, teaching and discussion.
• Sharing with family members about how God has touched you during your day, praying together as a family
